OCCUPY-ed

I’m seriously panicking right now about dissertation stuff and job applications, but that’s the way it goes. My chest feels tight and I feel like screaming pretty often these days. And the stress won’t go away when I have a job, either. Sad. That’s just the dealie-o.

But, for dinner, we had no tuna salad on green salad.

The other day, I made lentils and rice and boiled beans for Steph to make chili to bring down to Occupy Boston. Yes, this is a storage container half full of lentils and rice. They were super appreciative and apparently are in dire need of vegan food. And containers.

So, today I made rice noodles with peanut sauce and bell peppers for her to bring down to them tomorrow. Four gallon bags of it.

It’s something I can do to be in solidarity while I freak out about job applications and dissertation data. Tomorrow night: Vegan Drinks at Life Alive. Rock it.

much love,

You are awesome! Food Not Bombs here in Seattle has been handing out vegan food to the protesters, and I want to get involved but… I’m not. Very inspiring!
