Vegan MoFo: Day 1

So, I’ve decided to get into the Vegan MoFo movement, especially since I just heard about it today, and vegan blogging is what I’m supposed to be doing here. It’s just definitely going to involve food. Every day in October. Woot.

A good number of my friends do NaNoWriMo, and this is as close as I’m ever going to get to that.

Today, I ran the Samaritan’s 5k along with five other Dinner Clubbers. My pace was 11:05, which was not awesome, but hey, it works.

Easy as Matt

Laurie got her jog on! (and I magically got my finger in the way…)

Afterward, five of us went to Grasshopper for lunch. Laurie got the strawberry slushie, and I got mango (not pictured).

Mike and I shared chicken fingers as an app…

and I got the Kale and Gluten (which was SUPER tasty, and I just love having other people cook kale for my eating pleasure)

It came with brown rice and a side salad. The side salad had a good dressing, but I don’t eat much rice and didn’t touch mine at this meal.

Mike got the No Name, as did two other people at our table, and at least one person in each other party at the restaurant. It was delicious and totally worth the hype.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand tomorrow I’m off to VA. You know what that means! Traveling vegan blog!!!

much love,
M.E.
